Silk Smitha to MS Subbulakshmi

Yes, we are talking about Vidya Balan. The actress, after her successful portrayal of Silk Smitha in Dirty Picture, is now set for another biopic. This time she will portray MS Subbulakshmi. The film will be wielded by Rajiv Menon, the cinematographer of Kadal.

However, there’s an objection from an organization, which claims Vidya Balan shouldn’t play Bharat Ratna MS Subbulakshmi after her glamorous act in Dirty Picture. In an official statement they said that they respect Rajiv Menon’s idea of making a biopic on MS Subbulakshmi, but, they don’t wish to see Vidya Balan, who played Silk Smitha in her earlier movie, as the legendary singer.
