Ace director Bharathiraja’s first movie,
16 Vayathinilae, produced by S.A.Rajkannu, which featured current
superstars like Rajini, Kamal and Sridevi, is all set to be re-released
as the original movie has been subjected to DTS mixing and DI processes
in the US. The first copy of the re-mastered version will be presented
to Bharathiraja and Bhagyaraj today at the Prasad Labs in Chennai and
after a period of 15 days or so, the movie would be presented to Rajini
and Kamal as well.
A suitable date in the month of March is being eyed for this re-mastered version’s theatrical release. It must be noted that 16 Vayathinilae released way back in 1977 and was a critical as well as a commercial success.
